Cream of Broccoli Soup

4 cups soymilk/nut milk

2 cups chopped broccoli

1 cup water

¼ teaspoon celery seed

1 stalk of fresh thyme

1 stalk celery (diced)

¼ cup natural soy sauce (unfermented) or sea salt to taste

¼ cup unbleached flour

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Place flour in a small bowl and gradually add water mixing well to make a smooth paste. Place soymilk in a pot on medium high heat and bring to a boil. Add broccoli and seasonings. Gradually pour in paste while stirring to prevent lumping. Reduce heat and simmer on low heat about 10 minutes. Adjust seasonings. Remove thyme before serving.
